Girl Scouts donate Blankets

Girl Scouts donate blankets to MHP Emergency Services

Girl Girl Scouts Troop 183 recently donated fleece blankets they made to Mahaska Health Partnership Emergency Services. According to Troop Leader Theresa Graheck, Oskaloosa Girls Inc. gave $250 donation to each of the girl scout troops in Oskaloosa and challenged them to do a community service project. Her troop discovered the Linus Project, which provides blankets for comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need. The girls donated 32 blankets they made to MHP Emergency Services, the MHP Hospice Serenity House and to Birthright. Shown delivering the blankets to MHP are, from right: MHP Emergency Services Director Andrea Hagist, Emily Grahek, Kenzie McCallum, Audrey Chambers, Brynn Shaull, Nichole Stout and Grayhek. Not shown from Troop 183 is Lizzy DeJong.
