A New Beginning

Mary Brooks of Fremont was browsing her local newspaper one day when she stumbled upon an article about one of MHP’s new Family Practice providers, Eva Sietsema, ARNP-C. In the article, Eva explained her own battle with weight loss and how working with her primary care provider finally helped her shed 60 pounds.

“The article really caught my attention because I could relate to the story, so I decided to call and make an appointment with Eva,” Mary said. “I had worked with a different provider from a neighboring town in the past, but didn’t experience very much success.”

After Mary’s first appointment, she decided to switch all of her primary care to Eva. Mary explained that Eva looked into the true cause of her inability to lose weight, and was willing to dig deeper to get to the root of the problem. “Eva is very caring and never rushes through our appointments,” Mary explained. “She’s truly wants me to be successful.”

Since Mary began visiting Eva in early April, her weight loss plan has been going well, and she is looking to continue that trend. “Eva is very flexible with my care and is very observant,” Mary said. “She taught me to have realistic expectations about my weight loss goals and to focus on losing weight in a healthy way.”

Mary plans to continue seeing Eva on a regular basis to continue working toward accomplishing her ideal weight. While everyday is a new challenge, she isn’t going to give up because she knows Eva is behind her every step of the way.

“I can’t say enough about Eva, and what she’s done for me so far,” Mary said. “I’m not just another patient to get through. She treats me like a friend and truly wants me to be healthy in every sense of the word.”
